Article on a burglary. http://www.thevindicator.com/articles/2010/08/11/news/news10.txt
2nd Amendment. "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
On August 9, Liberty County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer reported that a woman called 911 regarding a burglar that had intruded her home. When she spotted him, she shot at him with her pistol but missed. He managed to get away by jumping out of the window, but was held down at gunpoint by the womans neighbor. The police arrived and the man had various items on him that he had stolen from the womans home.
This story demonstrates the 2nd amendment of the United States Constitution. The right of the people to keep and bear arms should not be violated or altered. The woman was not punished for using her rifle and shouldn't have been. I don't know how the world would be if we didnt have this right. The burglur probably would have reacted different if we did not have this right. Instead of trying to run away, he probably would have tried to assault the woman. In some cases this is a good law, and in others its not. In this particular case, it is a good law because it enables the woman to take precaution and protect herself.
